| "I love it when children whose pets I cared
for grow up and bring in their children's pets. It's incredibly rewarding,
not just as a veterinarian, but as a member of the North Shore community
as well." |

Dr. Kim Kennedy is one of our
resident veterinarians. She attended UBC for two years before transferring
to the University of Saskatchewan to complete her Bachelor of Science
in September 1996. Before she joined our team, she spent about
a year and a half working in Las
Vegas.
Kim currently has two pets; Chewy, a very spoiled toy poodle,
and Earl, an orange tabby ex-research cat from Saskatoon.

JoanE Richards, AHT, is a 1984
graduate of the Animal Health Technology program, Cariboo College
in Kamloops,
BC. She came to work at our hospital during her summer practicum
and has been here ever since.
One of JoanE's strengths is dentistry where she is renowned
for the meticulous attention she pays to the job of cleaning teeth.
She is also our chief surgical nurse where her experience and care
contribute to the success of our surgical procedures.
Although she is known to keep dogs, her favorite species is the
cat. She is a sucker for any 'purrty' face that comes along. JoanE
lives with Otis, her Shepherd-Doberman cross. She adopted him after
he was abandoned at our hospital. Never without a cat, JoanE also
takes care of Mowgli, an elderly cat that was in need of a home, and
her new cat Kaboodle.

Janet Weld is our den mother.
She has worked with Dr. Moe since he was a pup out of veterinary
school over twenty years ago. She claims to have taught him everything
useful he knows.
Janet brings a wealth of experience in dealing with pet owners
and their concerns. Born and bred here on the North Shore, she
shares her home with three Australian Shepherds, Mystic, Argos
and Fawn, and two cats, Cleats and Austin. |

Jennifer is our newest receptionist, and a native
of Deep Cove. Her family raised Collies as she was growing up.
Now she is the proud guardian of a Pomeranian called Taz, and a cat
